Hilton Banks has always been in the Banks family. The current Managing Directors, Scarlet & Charlie (daughter and son of Robert Banks) are 6th generation! Our family values are at the heart of how we operate – aiming to offer our clients the best, friendly, honest service possible.

Our History

Hilton Banks Limited – a highly respected supplier, distributor and import company operating throughout the UK from our head offices south west of London – established in 1850 by a long line of traders-importers originating from the Banks Family.

Benjamin Banks (the current Co-MDs Great Great Great Grandfather) ran a company delivering hearthstone and related building products in the London area with his stable or 40 horses and carriages. He then helped his two sons to open similar businesses outside London. His son Charlie started his company at the turn of the century in Hersham, Surrey to be named Chas.Banks & Son when his son Cecil joined the company after serving in the army during WWI. In March, 1926, Cecil took over the company. In 1927, net profits for the year were £572!

The HB organisation has grown to become one of the leading distributors & suppliers to builders and decorators merchants, DIY & hardware stores, garden centres, healthcare and leisure industries in our field. Operating with 1000s of leading branded goods including our high performing HB42 brand taking the building & decorating market by storm. We also have our own range of selected and manufactured Hilton Banks Branded goods – to deliver a reliable, extensive and resourceful product supply company.

Hilton Banks Ltd are also major UK suppliers of Window & Floor Protective Films, HandyWrap and Pallet Wrap. Hilton Banks owns the MultiGrip® range of ‘non-slip’ products and MultiShelf – the ‘anti-microbial’ shelf liner.

Our HB42 Brand

Hilton Banks launched their brand HB42 in 2013, conceived from an ever increasing demand from both building and decorator trade merchants to supply a high-end trade brand of sealants with clear packaging at sensible pricing, and good merchant margins.
